3 reasons to be patient with others

1. God Has Been Patient with Us
We often want swift judgment against others, but we want God to be patient with us. God has been incredibly merciful toward us for our mistakes; shouldn't we offer that same grace to those around us? "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love." (Ephesians 4:2) When someone is slow to learn or quick to fail, let’s remember that we are a work in progress, and so are they.
2. People Are Works in Progress
A building under construction isn't judged as a finished structure. In life, people are under development. Patience allows God to finish His work in us without our constant interference. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise... instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish." (2 Peter 3:9) Don't get annoyed just because someone hasn't met your deadline. Give them the space to grow.
3. It Prevents Mistakes
When we lose our patience, we often lose our capacity ti make wise decisions. Acting in haste or anger affects our relationships in ways that are hard to settle later. Patience keeps us from saying something we’ll regret. "A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense." (Proverbs 19:11) Before you act in anger, pause for 24 hours. You'll find that patience usually solves the problem better than an impulsive reaction.
Simplehan Natin (The Wrap-Up)
Patience isn't just "waiting"; it's how you behave while you wait. Be the "Gentle Mentor" God is to you, and watch how people flourish under your grace.
